The Ski Area San Pellegrino is preparing to welcome skiers and snow tourists with some important news regarding skiing offers, hotel accommodations and restaurants.
First of all, it’s about children. We’re increasing services for kids’ first approach to skiing by expanding and improving the ski school slopes at Blanco Baby Park and Capanna Margherita. The first one is located near the Gigante chairlift in the Chiesetta district and is managed by the Moena Dolomiti Ski and Snowboard School. It features 2 long tread mills and various par courses with obstacles, cones and arches. The second campus is next to the Capanna Margherita ski lift in the Costabella area; it will offer a treadmill, a nice stretch for boarder-cross, where you can practice curves and jumps, and an area just for sledding and bob sledding.
The Kid’s Paradise play park at Chalet Cima Uomo has become a point of reference for families who want to spend some fun time with their kids in the ski area: outside, kids can play on the snow with swings, slides, play houses, wagons, buckets and shovels. There is also a real life cabin lift, where the park’s mascot, Blanco the bunny lives. Otherwise there is a 100 m² heated romper room, where children can read, develop their creativity, play board games and relax, with baby-sitting services and baby menus for lunch available upon request.
Furthermore, a new slope has been created for more experienced skiers. This run is called La VolatA, and it is 2350 metres of pure adrenaline for an altitude drop of more than 600 metres. The black slope goes from the top of Col Margherita down towards Passo San Pellegrino in a continuous series of spine-tingling walls that can reach gradients of up to 50%.
This year more than ever, local businesses have been investing in significant upgrades on accommodations, public spaces and restaurants, increasing or remodelling rooms to offer guests more comfort and new fun, pleasant experiences.
In particular, Chalet Cima Uomo has expanded its internal spaces with a new lunch room located in the southern part of the building, which provides plenty of sunshine and breath taking views. They’ve also added a new Lounge-Bar Kiosk on the slope right next to Chalet Cima Uomo, which becomes a charming Après Ski & Party location in the evenings.
Rifugio Tarif is close to the little church in Passo San Pellegrino, right in front of the departure station for the Gigante chairlift. This lodge has also been completely renovated, with an expansion of indoor rooms and the outdoor terrace for the Après Ski set. On the lower floors they rent equipment as well.
